Blue Ribbon Chem Dry in Westlake is seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking IICRC Certified Technician to join our premier cleaning team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert-level cleaning services for area rugs and wall-to-wall carpeting in our In Plant Area Rug Cleaning Plant and Residential Homes. You will use your specialized knowledge of fibers and chemistry to assess, treat, and restore flooring to the highest industry standards.
The position starts Part Time and will work into Full Time and Overtime when needed. 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Inspections & Assessment: Conduct thorough pre-cleaning inspections to identify fiber types, construction, and existing damage or stains.
  • Professional Cleaning: Use Chem-Dry's proprietary hot carbonating extraction cleaning process and other applications as trained.
  • Area Rug Care: Identify and treat various area rug types (oriental, wool, synthetic) using appropriate techniques to prevent dye bleed or fiber damage.
  • Stain & Odor Treatment: Apply specialized spot removals, deodorizers, and fabric protectors.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain industrial truck-mounted or portable cleaning units and specialized rug-cleaning tools.
  • Customer Service: Communicate professionally with clients, provide accurate invoices, and offer additional services (upselling) when appropriate
 
Qualifications:
  • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Be able to work independently, and troubleshoot when needed. 
  • Effectively and graciously present information to clients in one-on-one and small group settings
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Team player • Safe driving record and reliable transportation to work
  • Perform duties safely, effectively and with great care for customer belongings and home

Requirements 
  • Certification: IICRC Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) and/or Rug Cleaning Technician (RCT) certification is required.
  • Experience: [1 or more] years of experience in professional carpet or floor care is preferred.
  • Physical Stamina: Be able to lift 100 lbs using proper lifting technique and stand/kneel for extended periods.
  • Driving and Background Record: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record to operate company vehicles. Must pass a background check.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and a "servant’s heart" for high-quality customer service.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent and IICRC Certification for Area Rug and Carpet Cleaning
 
Benefits:
  • Starting Pay $19.50 Hr. after probationary period of 60 days.We pay Strong Commission and Tips in accordance to your effort and skill level where the average can be up to $30 hr and more.

Compensation: $19.50 - $35.00 per hour
